Yaris Vvt 2006 Noisey On Acceleration

Hi all.

I'm new to this forum & to Yaris, and need a little advice.

I have just bought a 2006 (56 plate) Yaris for my daughter. It's done 30,500 miles to date. It feels like a sold little car with enough get up and go for her 30 mile a day round trip to Uni.

However, I have noticed that when accelerating from low revs(around 2000 rpm), the engine rattles (called it pinking in the old days!)

Is this normal with these engines (1296cc) or does it point to something needing to be done.

The car has full service (Toyota Main Agent) history & was last serviced in July 2013.

Any info much appreciated.

Just a thought - what brand of petrol does it have in the tank. If a supermarket brand, may be worth trying something like BP or Shell to see if you get the same effect.
