Raise Car Ride Height

Hi All,

I have a 2006 gen 7 Celica which suits me fine but some of my occasional passengers are a bit older and struggle to get in and out of the car. It's not such a problem with it being a two door it's just that it is just too low for them. In addition, when I visit one of my friends it is necessary to drive down a farm track which has got a grassy raised strip down the middle which is slowly growing taller -or the wheel tracks are sinking. It's not a problem at all at the moment but might be in future.

So, is it possible to (cheaply) raise the ride height ? And could I possibly put on some bigger and maybe wider wheels ?-steel ones would be fine as long as they fitted straight on and helped to raise the ride height!! I'm not bothered what it looked like or handled like because I'm a mature owner and don't go very fast anyway?

I thought I'd ask this before I have to sell it to get a more suitable car!!

TIA, Phil.
