Hi

Looking to buy some new rubber floor mats for my 05 plate Aygo.

I see some are described as 2010 on. Does the shape of the floorpan change in later models meaning these would not fit a 2005 car?

As I understand it, the later cars have two fixing points on the drivers mat, the earlier ones have only one. I just ordered a new set of mats yesterday as it happens!

OK, thanks. Not the end of the world then. Genuine rubber mats seem really difficult to get at a decent price and given the current weather I'm not sure how long carpet ones will last!!

Very true, although I'm really not keen on rubber mats from a cosmetic point of view. The carpet ones I bought have a reinforced heel plate and at £22.50 delivered (including the upgrade for grey piping) I am happy to buy a new set every year if needed.

UK Car mats also do carpet mats as well as the rubber ones

I do ok with rubber mats from Asda in my yaris, they don't exactly fit but they don't move so they're ok for now. I am going to get some carpet mats for my new Aygo when I order it, part of the package with the reversing sensors. May use rubber ones when its winter as even just driving to work my shoes are wet all the time and its making the mats dirty.
