Turbo Whine

My toyota d4d has small whine on start up from the the turbo when spooling up , and disappears when hot , it's 160000 k on the .clock Any ideas.its a 2004 d4d 2.0

pretty common In my humble opinion mate, mine has always done it now and then especially as you say when it's cold outside and the engine is cold but it's hardly audible

If you are really concerned and if it's due for an oil change use a good quality 5w 30 engine oil and see if it makes a difference.
