P1135 Fault Code - Help !

Hi Steve,

Phil's right, mine threw up several other codes until it settled. Might be worth measuring the ohms on bank 1 sensor 2 ie the other air/fuel sensor to see what that is first

Have you got a code reader to reset the ECU ?

I resorted to resetting it until it settled, mines not been anymore trouble since I reset it for the final time after the MOT - 6 weeks / 800 miles ago.

I'd be inclined to check the other sensors heater, put back the new one and reset it for a few days. Admittedly mine came up with different codes to yours ( cat efficiency poor x2 ) but I think until the ECU has completed all the sensor duty cycles ( which are different for each sensor ) it's worth waiting a bit.

I have a P1135 problem on my 2001 Toyota Rav4. Idle speed goes up when I engage gear and when the engine is hot,  it pinks with some erratic noise.

I am in a country where I can't get a change of the bank 1 sensor.

I am looking for a way of fixing the problem without a damage to the ECU.

Francis.
