Faulty Electrics Corolla T3 Spirit 2002

Hi,

I own a 2002 Corolla 1.6 T3 Spirit and it has recently developed an intermittent electrical fault.

When I use the master switches to open any of the 4 windows sometimes it will lock up and refuse to open or close any of the windows, then after a while the switches will just start working again. When this happens none of the switches on any of the doors will respond!

I have tried turning the electrics off & on, pressed the window lock button and even talked sweetly too it, but no joy!

Does anybody know what is causing this intermittent failure?

Hello Lawrie and a big welcome to you to the club.

This could be a contact problem,like the connector that plugs into your window switch has been worked loose by opening and shutting of the door.

Or go to maplin,

buy some contact cleaner

take switch apart (top bit) and clean inside.
