Location Of The Air Conditioning Evaporator

Hello,

I wanted to find access to the evaporator inside the cab car to be cleaned.

Someone may have a photo or a description of how to get to it and where is it?

Car: Toyota Auris 1.4 VVT-i 2007.

As far as I'm aware the evaporator can be accessed from the front passenger footwell.

Yes, I know. But I need the exact location.

The evaporator is encased with the heater/cooler air box behind the passenger dash area and other than a 1" by 10" slot where the pollen filter slides in, it is not accessible without removing the dash then heater/cooler unit.

Other than trying to see if it needs cleaning is there a specific reason to access it?

Thanks for the factual answer :) From your answer I conclude that access is difficult.

Prophylactically I wanted to clear the system of bacteria and mold. From what I've read most of them are on the evaporator. I set to cleaning air conditioning CRC. Does it make sense to do this, if nothing happens?
