and now I wonder if I could do the same on my 2004 pfl corolla? Is it really that simple?

Your link is not valid, don't know if this is the same one.

Would be interesting to know if it works ok on UK models 2004-6 or if you can hook up to the wiring under the dash rather than having to strip out all the steering / airbag gear

That´s strange... Anyway, it´s the same video as you have found. Wonder if it´s just that easy to plug in a lever and then you have cruise control. Min corolla is a e120 pre facelift.

The answer is no. At least not for the 1.4 engines as they don't have drive by wire.

hmmm... but i have the 1.6 ...

Check your gas pedal, should be easy to see if it's drive by wire.


Update: If it looks anything like this it is drive by wire.
