Your Injector is held in place by a two fingered clamp, these have been know to snap especially if the engine/injector has been worked on. To access the injector clamp you will have to remove the rocker cover, you will need new seals for the rocker cover, injector and a new clamp, whilst you are in there it might pay to do all four as a precaution.

Got car back today . Had snapped an injector clamp , as thought , now seems fine ... does any one know if this is a common problem ?

I had one that loosed off the clamp - the clamping bolt worked loose.

There's details in the thread, Injector Problem http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/112796-injector-problem/

Not the end of the world - a little bit labour intensive - although the report that the clamp arms have been known to snap leaves me a little nervous.... :ermm:

My local diesel specialist keeps them in stock , so might suggest its common problem .
