Hybrid Health Check Certificate

I paid for the HHC back in Feb this year when it just came out. I had some concerns (later unfounded) about my HV Battery.

Just been in for my 90,000 mile service and they automatically included the HHC and still issued the certificate. I'm an old gen3, so out of warranty now and this free HV Battery warranty with the HHC is nice to have.

ps my 2012 Prius is still under warranty and I got one included with my 30k service last month

....as did I with a 40k service on my 2010 car. I did mention the HHC when I booked the car in, and was assured it was all in hand and would be included. Which it was - FOC.

Regarding the H.C.C. Is it part of the service or do you have to request it? Is it carried out if the car is still in warranty, or only once the car is out warranty? I am still looking at a 12 plate Prius and the garage will service the car before releasing it, but refuse.to do a H.C.C. As they state the car is still in warranty.

Explain to the dealer you will look elsewhere..........that should focus the attention...........fools!!!

It's about money.

I hope it is a rare thing, it wasn't a totoya dealer but it was a main vauxhall dealer and it occurred to me a while ago.

But surely only Toyota dealers could perform a proper certificated HHC?

Herein lies the problem.

Only Toyota have the specialised equipment to offer this specialised service and warranty.

A Vauxhall dealer can pop some new oil in (debatable whether they'd use 0w20) but they couldn't offer software updates or HHC's. This is the risk of buying one brand of vehicle from another manufacturer.
