Corolla T-Sport Lift Oil Pressure Switch

Hi all, I'm new here and unfortunately come with a problem.

I've got a corolla T-Sport and have an issue with lift. When it gets to the point where the lift should kick in I get an engine light and code P1963.

I've read up on this and understand how the lift works etc. I've changed the lift bolts and they did have a lot of wear on them but this hasn't cured the fault.

I've read a guide that said to check the oil pressure switch for continuity to ground. I have continuity to ground from the pin on the sensor permanently, with the engine off and therefore no oil pressure in the lift system. Does this mean my oil pressure switch is faulty, or should it be this way?

I'd appreciate any help, thanks :)
