Hi All,

Just a general question over steering.

Do members find the power steering quite heavy at times for the size of car an Aygo.

I sometimes am sure the steering gets a shade heavy at times unless its my imagination, does anyone find the same.

I did notice the Aygo's steering was noticeably weightier than my Yaris' but TBH I preferred that as, IMHO, the Yaris steering is quite over-assisted (Admittedly it's great for doing tricky parking manoeuvres!)

That said, it's nowhere near say, a Mk2 Micra or old Golf! (Who needs to lift weights when you are trying to park one of those! esp. if the Golf has thick tyres!!)

I found my mk2 yaris was quite easy to overshoot steering if I wasn't careful, but the Aygo is not heavier yet it doesn't oversteer.

i find the steering to be light but i feel its a bit unresponsive you seem to have to turn the wheel alot when you turn off a main road into a side road, its probably since the aygo isnt mine and i drive it rarely.

Funny but I never thought it was heavy, but the last couple of weeks of driving my new X-pression model, I've switched between the two (as I still have my old model) & the difference is very noticable, but not sure if this is just the obvious difference between new & old rather that between models...if you know what I mean.
