Hi ! I'm new to this site, an i hope you can help me. I recently bought a Corolla 2006 E12

My problem is that the odometer/speedometer cable is getting out of shape. I was wondering if anyone could help me understand where the odometer/speedometer cable is located on the transmission and how do I get to it, so that I can replace it.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

Not sure I understand your question.

As I understand things the speedo / odo is fed by an electronic signal via a wiring cable which should be well covered in the main wiring loom, so do not understand how you can 'see it getting out of shape' ?

Assuming you can see (?) it , do you mean in the engine bay ? cannot you follow it down to the actual sensor ?

Can you post a picuture of what you mean is 'out of shape'

Or do you really mean that the speedo is not showing the correct speed and you want to replace the actual speed sensor in the transmission box ?
