Toyota Corolla Verso Heating Problems

Hi

We have a 2008 Corrolla Verso SR and are very happy with it but unfortunately the temperature selector for some reason won't allow us to increase the temperature and its stuck on 17.5 degrees ...... now we're in winter time makes it a very cold car indeed.

I believe the button to lower the temperature still works but neither the right nor left buttons work for increasing temerature seem to work.

Has this problem been discussed before, is it just that the electrical connection on the heater switch / button is broken and needs replacing, could it be a fuse, any suggestions for a cheap fix. I fear if i take it to the main dealer they'll just say the whole module needs to be replaced and I can't afford £300 +

Thanks in advance

Hi Charlie,

It sounds like you have a very similar problem to mine a few months ago. I found a post started by Pablo Diablo on 9th June 2014 entitled "2008 Corolla Verso, Thermostat Control on Dashboard Has Broken!" very helpful, although my attempt at a fix wasn't 100% successful. It is a lot better than it was before though!

Shouldent be expensive in parts, you could go car breakers and get the button which needs changing. you can replace it your self
