Could be either depending on engine:

Earlier 2.0 1CD engine is a belt ( side indicators in front wing )

Later 2.0 1AD engine is a chain ( side indicators in side mirrors )

2.2 2AD engine is a chain.

Also I have a problem with my heating In car. I have the climate control both on (Hi) if I don't have the fan on full it looks like the car is going to overheat, then I put the fan on full and the temperature gage drops back to normal in the middle and I get hot air for about a minute then it goes back cold. Does anybody know what the issue could be? Thanks in advance
