Hi guys,

Anyone drive a new (2012- ) 1.0 or 1.33 petrol yaris for long distances on the motorway? Is it noisy or tiring? What is the mpg like??

Thanks,

PFJ

Have a look at Honest John's Real MPG pages for an idea of the fuel consumption owners get - http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/toyota/yaris-and-yaris-hybrid-2011

The 1.33 will be more relaxed on the motorway due to having around 30 more bhp than the 1.0, being four cylinder rather than 3 (less noise), having a six speed gearbox as opposed to five speed, and the 1.33 will be working less hard at motorway speeds than the 1.0.

I think the Yaris has the same 1.33 in the Auris. We always took our Auris on long journeys, engine power was sufficient, sound was not a problem (dident bother us because there was not much) and the best part was the MPG, 55 MPG+

Yes the 1.33 is the same unit as used in the Auris, Urban Cruiser, Verso S and IQ (1.33).

The 1.0 litre is the same as used in the Aygo and IQ (1.0).

When son bought his 2012 1.3 Yaris, there were hardly any 1.0s for sale...
