Shouldn't happen - not with the Hybrid Health Check warranty.

Rumours abound that the SF thefts are for taxi and high mileage customers. California has a 10 year/150k mile hybrid warranty, so the batteries must be being stolen for owners exceeding that mileage.

I wouldn't worry.
