Hi Guys, just interested in hearing what MPG figures people are getting from a 2.5 litre Hilux (2 wheel drive). Mine is 2008 and returning 35.7 MPG on a combined town/long run. This was calculated over a check of 600 miles but I don't drive hard about 60 mph on a run. (I think Toyota quote nearly 38 or 39 but I doubt I could get that). Truck has been serviced and all the filters are new. Thanks.

In the UK, one site, Honest John, allows owners to post what fuel consumption they're getting. For the Hilux 2.5 D4D 4WD, owners are getting an average 28.8 - see http://vans.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/toyota/hilux-2005/25-d-4d-144-4wd

Obviously the 4WD Hilux will be heavier on consumption than the 2WD.
