Hey everyone, Im trying to read fault code on my 93 3sge, bridged e1 and te1 but check light stays on

(not flashing a code) after driving for an hour or so the check light dims then comes up again, wondered if anyone else has had this problem, car starts and runs without any problems, thanks in advance for any advice.
