Assume you used a new sensor ? ( a little at £7 new at ECP )

Looking at my standard 1.4/1.6 diagrams after the sensor it all goes into the combination meter / dashboard and no clues of how to test things after the sensor.

The current edition of Car Mechanics magazine has a 6 page spread on repairing Instrument Clusters, might be worth a look and contacting some of the repairers mentioned.

Thanks Oldcodger. Yes put in a new Sensor. So guessing its something wrong with the dash water sensor clock .

Ecu failure or wiring issue

Surely a ECU Failure would give more problems than a water gauge not working ?? . wiring could be . . But thank steven

Could be as simple as the thermostat stuck wide open and the car not able to get warm, worth a look

Put a thermostat in it then, not the sender switch ;)
