Engine Oil

Hello guys,i just got my father's car,its a 2002 e12 vvti 1.4 petrol,its my first car,so i dont know much about it.I would like to know which is the best engline oil for this specific car.In my town because of the mountains and the rock,temperature gets too high in the summer and too low in the winter,(40oC summer to -5oC winter)and i dont know whats my manufacturer's suggestion because i've lost my users manual.

Sorry i forgot to mention.Northern Greece,with high moisture(if it matters)

Pretty sure my 2006 Corolla used 5W-30 which should be OK for a temperature range -29 degrees C to 38 degrees C. Should be API SM or SN

Check the manual and use that oil. If the temperature range is that extreme, it might be worth changing to a heavier oil in Summer and a lighter one in winter, but the manual will tell you what is good for waht temp range.
