Can anyone tell me what the denso part number is for the scv in a 05 avensis d4d. It has only one not the red and green ones. I rang a dealer who said they don't sell them separate but on eBay there is ones saying genuine Toyota part. If Toyota don't sell them separate how can they be genuine parts.

I cannot find on the parts catalouge where I normally look, however on eBay it shows a part number of 04226-0L020 try and give this to Toyota and see what they come back with.

Which engine?

2.0 1CD has two types of pump,

2 x SCV - Part number 04221-27012

1 x SCV - Not separately serviced by Toyota

2.2 2AD - 1 x SCV - 04226-26020

Part number 04226-0L020 is an old part number valve for the later AD engine, now replaced by 04226-26020

It's the 1x scv. The dealer said they don't do them separate and wouldn't tell the price of a new injector pump. He said it was ridiculous. I think the valve has failed. The mpg is down. The engine is hesitant and lacking in power struggles uphill. Erg and the rest has been tested and working. Would it be worth buying one of eBay. They are £85 quid

Looking further into it, Although Toyota don't offer a spare part Denso the pump manufacturer may do. So perhaps track down your local Denso agent they will need the part number of your pump:

Toyota # 22100-0G010 ( replaced by 22100-0G011 )

Denso # 294000-006x

free tip.

look on eBay

1 - buy your self a small sonic cleaner - one of them denture cleaning ones is fine.

cost $5

2 - get some petrol.

3 - insert Battery into sonic cleaner

4 - pour petrol into the sonic cleaner drum.

5 - place sonic cleaner on a firm but flat surface

6 - remove the denso control valve.

7 - submerg valve into the petrol.

8 - close the lid.

9 - power on the sonic cleaner.

10 - wait.. wait... wait.. 10 mins.

11 - swap petrol for new one

12 - stick it in again ...

13 - wait .. wait .. wait 10 mins.

14 - remove svc and shake it about.

15 - if you have injector cleaner insert some into thevalve.

16 - join to fuel pump

17 - pump and pressure-rise the fuel rail.

18 - crank and start the car.

and report back..

Ordered one of eBay. I've seen a few threads saying there is problems with these and that when they fail cleaning them is only a short term fix. So that's why I went ahead with ordering one

Hasn't been wasted but all other forums say that it's only a short term fix which would mean I have to buy one anyway. I wanted to know if the part on eBay was genuine since the dealer told me I couldn't buy it separate. If there was genuine parts i wanted the product number to get the right part

I ordered the scv of eBay and put it in. Came in a Toyota box not a genuine part but the exact same. Was told by a diesel specialist that it would have to be programmed but the car is running fine. Getting more mpg and pulling better.

Actually I have found this 04226-30010, although it looks like it is for some other toyota's too but check here http://www.denso-am.co.uk/e-catalogue/ .

When searching by product select Suction Control Valve, then select Toyota, Avensis 03-09, 2.0 d4d, 2004, and then this line appears:

kW Engine Codes Application years Notes Cylinder Part number
85 1CD-FTV 09/03-11/04 4 DCRS300660
After that, when you type the Denso Code DCRS300660 in the part number search and select it. Then select the OE Numbers and voala 04226-30010. Also select fitted on makes and model, there is the Avensis and Corolla E12 and Verso.

Searching only the toyota part number on other sites it gets only the Dyna, HiAce, HiLux and LandCruiser.

May be this part is not intended for separate use on the Avensis or Corolla family models, but why not, no one knows.

Hope this helps.

I know this is an old thread.

Has anyone found a way to repair stuck SCV's. Photo shown below.  Its from a 2.0 D4D 2005 2.0  pump.  There is a single SCV installed.  The piston inside is stuck.  Is there any way to open this up?  I have seen youtube video's of other SCV's being repaired which have a circlip.  This one Ihaven't managed to figure out how to open it.

Can anyone shed light on it before it order a new part.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi All,

The car won't start after cleaning the fuel SCV and installing it back on the injection fuel pump.  The Battery is a good Battery.  The engine would turn but not start.  Used easy start to see if it would start.  It nearly started but died straight away.  Tried bleeding the fuel lines from the crank case and no fuel came out despite pumping on the fuel filter pump too.

Changed fuel SCV, the car still won't start. The car starter turns but doesnt seem like the engine is  cranking.  Tried easy start and bled the fuel lines.  There is fuel in the lines now but still won't start.  Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

Thanks
