Can anyone explain the differences between 550cc and 1000cc injectors etc? Do they increase power?

not on their own. its all down to ratio. you need a given percentage of fuel to air for optimum power so when air flow is increaced (ie by increasing boost on as turbo engine) you need more fuel but an injector can only run at 95%max (ideal is 85%) duty cycle (ie only inject fuel for 95% of the engine cycle) as it needs to close. so when this point is reached and the engine needs more fuel you need bigger injectors to supply it. think about it tis way a 550cc injector will inject 550cc's of fuel in 1 minute but thats 100% duty cycle so in real terms its only capable of supplying 522.5 cc of fuel so when the engine wants more you need bigger ones.

hope this helps. by the way the rolla runs about 360-370bhp and that only peaks at 70% duty cycle on 850cc injectors.

cheers
