Radio Mode Switch

hi all ,

Just a question about the radio mode switch on steering wheel , it seems to work fine until I turn headlights on then I will only get skip and volume functions , is this normal ? When lights are switched on it seems to disable the mode button ..

May be worth checking the manual for any mention of it? We have a 4.3 non SR in the family that has steering wheel controls but it'll be a while before I get chance to check/ask. I know on my 4.2 mode works irrespective of what the headlight's are doing and I can't think of any logical reason the mode button wouldn't work if they're on?

I have a t180 and the mode button on the steering wheel works when the lights are on, strange one that?

Perhaps I've got a dodgy mode button !!

It's no big deal but I do like everything to be working as it should , I will go and have another fiddle!

How much of a job is it to change audio control switch on steering wheel , only thing I'm worried about is airbag!
