Avensis D4D Manual

Hi Everyone

I'm new to Toyota's (just bought my first brand new Avensis diesel), but no-one seems to do a workshop manual for these cars - any one know of where I could get one. Its not for major work, but I would like to be able to get some specs etc for those little jobs (like clutch pedal adjustment)we all like to do. Or are these cars so reliable that we never need to

tinker ?. Are ther in fact any weak points in the Avensis design ?

Cheers

The only place you are likely to get one is a proper dealer manual from Toyota

These normally come in section

One for the engine

One for the chassis and body

Unfortunately they are expensive because they are what the Toyota dealer technicians use

They cost anything from £30 each right up to £100 each

I have owned an Avensis for 2 and a half years now (and am in the process of looking at buying another).

The only thing I've felt tempted to find out how to do is adjusting the handbrake cable, which was sorted at the next service. It hasn't needed much else other than tyres and brake pads. Keeping it serviced seems to help them tick along very nicely.

I was told before I bought the car of some problems with the Avensis, but I can't remember what they were as I've had none.
