being very optimistic imo given the very low production planned for the first couple of years. :P

can't imagine that too much is user serviceable either.

The price of these cars in the UK is outrageous, £61,000 after a government £5k grant.

The same cars were launched in California at $57,000 (~ £37,000) and came with 3 years free maintenance and free fuel allowance of $5,000 per year. When you factor in the other grants and rebates allowed the price comes out about $42,000 (~ £27,500). Oh and the CA version also comes with 7 days free rental a year – very handy if you’re travelling to another state which doesn’t have hydrogen refuelling.

You'd have to be pretty keen on H2 tech to get one at this point so I'm surprised they aren't subsidising it more. There are probably an order of magnitude (or two!) more Tesla superchargers than hydrogen fillup stations at the moment!

It doesn't really matter - the UK's 2015 allocation ( a whole 12 iirc) is all spoken for. I would suspect that they all went to businesses on the lease option, ~£700/month again iirc.

The government £5k grant is really just a reduction in tax - they will still be taking a chunk of the resale price.
