Iwas in Toronto last summer and a friend had an echo.

Iwouldnt of said that was a 1.5. Seemed moe like a 1 litre to me.

i'm 130% positive the only engine available in north america is the 1NZFE 1.5 litres 108hp 105lbs of torque since 2000 we only have that engine in all echo in north america ;)

we only have 2 chassis here the sedan Ncp10

and the echo hatchback (only in Canada) Ncp13

have a one litre 70bhp but in 2 years or so Ill get a hks turbo and a dump valve etc. which will probably push it up to 100 bhp plus .no intentions of changing my car though..lol..have too many mods to change it to a t-sport plus its different looking

Can't you just drop a 1300 VVTi in it?

I got one on eBay for 150 quid.

You'd easily squeeze 100bhp out of that without needing a turbo.

...a 1.3 with a turbo, then you'd be laughing!
