Brake Caliper Carrier

I'm looking for an OSF brake caliper carrier for a 2005 2.0 D4D. One of the slider pins has rusted solid and refuses to move. Is there any other model that uses the same bracket ?

Have you tried overnight soaking in pen fluid or some carefully applied heat around the carriers bush insert.

( though that will probably destroy the internal and external rubbers on the slider pins. )

You will probably have to buy new slider pins/ rubbers anyway, there are after market ones, but from some I bought they did not seem a correct fit, so would suggest you get the correct set /kit from Toyota.

Believe a new carrier is about £120+, though no idea if its the same as other petrol models, think the diesels have bigger discs /pads though do not know if the carrier is also bigger ?

Others may know...?

Thanks, managed to find one off a car being broken. Once fitted I'll spend some time giving the old one a thrashing. :hammer:

The little rubber boot is solid with rust, thats how bad it is.
