Corolla Compressor Engine Trouble

Howdy,

Basically my Compressors engine has decided to give up the ghost and I'm needing a new one.

Is it the same engine used in the basic T-sport models?

or is it different engine with lower compression for the supercharger etc.?

could someone tell me the engine codes on both T-sport and the compressor?

Cheers,

Rab.

Hullo Rab and welcome to the board, surprised none of the head honchos have stopped by to say howdy but I'll do it, always nice to see a fellow countryman join the board. Unfortunately I haven't a scoobie about the engine question but I'd imagine you're right about it being a lower compression ratio with the supercharger involved. Hope somebody can help but so long as you're here just go ahead and get tore in with the rest of us.

What's with the moniker, is it Rab by Day and Rob by Night? :fireman2::fireman2::fireman2:

Its the same engine, remember that at one point TTE actually sold the TTE supercharger kits for the 2ZZ-GE engines. The fuel air mix will be controlled by the ECU changes in that model. From what i can see from old images the kit seems to include the charger, intercooler and associated pipes and engine covers.

Wouldnt suprise me though if the throttle body and injectors are slightly different, but you could salvage these from your old engine as i'm sure they are in perfect working order. You could always drop fensport or a toyota specialist a cheecky email to check.

Probably worth finding out whats wrong with it first mind, these engines aren't too cheap.

thanks for the info, i have a new engine on route for it. once i have put the new engine in and its going i will strip the old one down and see what the crack is with it.

I have a suspision its melted or damaged a valve. No compression on cylinder 3.

I have taken out the cat.

Anyone know where i can get it mapped or how i can get the engine management light off?

i have tried a lambda spacer off of eBay and that didnt work, has anyone else had success with any other methods?
