Toilet seat for 2016 Prius.

I have ordered the part so we will see, but the instructions are usually pretty generic the front page contain the model type restrictions, in the case of new Prius ZVW50

if the part was sided the model would be ZVW50L/ZVW50R not ZVW50* which usually means the part is not sided, also the factory part is not listed as a handed part.

The Oxford Toyota dealer told me they would paint the offending parts for free.

I think I must be one of the few who actually like the white.  I much prefer it to the pictures I have seen where people have changed to shiny black.

For those thinking about having them painted, would it not be a better idea to have it wrapped, then you could have any colour you choose and it would be much more durable than paint.

I also like the white, I think we will see more cars with white interior trim in the future.

Whilst I wouldn't say I like it, it doesn't bother me, I hardly notice it when I'm driving. SWMBO on the other hand absolutely hates it and keeps telling me to paint it or something.

I understand completely. When driving, your left arm, holding the steering wheel, almost completely blocks your view of the urinal. Your wife, on the other hand, does not have this advantage, and so has full view of the offending sanitaryware. 

I have exactly the same situation, I can just about live with it, but  SWMBO sees  much more white than I do and hates it.

Looks like another marmite thing (like 15" Vs 17" wheels and whether to have a spare tyre or gunge).

I'm another that does like the white - anything to have less depressing black in the car.  I've ordered the "cool grey" interior trim which emphasises the "sanitary ware" even less (in the photos, at least).

HI ..... I'm new to this forum! I just purchased a 2016 Prius and the dealer put on the applique and gear shifter.  I can upload images when I pick up the car if any of you are interested in seeing how it turned out.  I have the black softex interior .......

OK ...... I'll post as soon as I take the pictures! The I purchased the shifter applique with the lower console applique.  I have a touring three with black softex interior.  The Applique make the car look so much nicer! Stay tuned ......... will post in next couple days!

No luck I'm afraid whilst the part will fit and is in the correct gloss Black finish the part is only suitable for models without wireless phone charger

Nope the instructions made no mention and to be fair the part is not listed on UK accessory sites, looking at the fitting guide there is even images showing plugs for the charger to be connected but the new trim has blank sockets to accept the plugs so I assume lower spec cars are prewired for the QI charger

Here are the pics of the Applique for shifter and toilet bowl! Hope this helps if you're planning on buying this accessory.  I am very happy with the look and it makes the car look more luxurious!

Note the shifter applique is handed so can't import from LHD markets. Japan should be possible but of course if it has a negative affect on sales Toyota GB may get the message eventually.

In one of the photos, the sun is reflected off the black applique making it look white :)

Are you sure this definitely won't work? Our dealer has an Excel model with wireless charger and this fitted as an option - although much more expensive then thecaretaker managed by purchasing from the US.
