If you change the key fobs for third party fobs, you will be invalidating the Toyota new car warranty for the anything to do with the keys, locking and probably starting

I fully understand this on a newish car, for security reasons.

Do Toyota do a better fob ?

Go and ask a few dealers. May be there are other designs and Lexus key fobs, that can be programmed to your car. If will cost you though!

Is there an after market key fob/remote for the Auris ?

Spent £24,000 on a great car,but have the cheapest plastic key fobs going

Personally I don't care what the key/fob looks like. So long as it can last long and works every time, all the time, that is all that matters.

Do you perceive the fob cheap by design, look and/or feel?

My Mk1 keys lasted 17.5 years and still going strong. I just sold the car with working originals.

I know it is personal choice, but for me I would only obtain a replacement if I lose one of the originals.

If you do get your fancy key and it successfully added to the others, remember you have 4 keys max, in the cars memory.

Happy hunting.
