In 2013 West Midlands Fire Service trialled using Brigade Response Vehicles for rapid response work using JLR vehicles. After the trial they changed to specially modified Hiluxes as these were deemed more suitable. 21 are currently on the fleet -

Being Local Authority and being subject to budget cuts, they won't use the new Hilux until existing vehicles need replacing.
