Hi, I own a Rav 4 build in 2003 with a TNS600 B9001 and I have a problems with this nav: I have no radio signal, not even with radioFM emulator, I looked to see if the cable from antena is connected and I think it is, I will post some pics with 3 cables that are not connected and I don't know why not. I don't have dvd map for my country yet but I don't think that is a problem. I will buy from eBay a dvd with Europe East . i tryed to upgrade the map , but i can't make my nav to read the dvd's I burn.

The radio antenna on the RAV4 is a "powered item" if the same as my Toyota the blue wire connected with the little white connector needs a 12v ignition supply , the RAV4 comes with diffrent plugs for other radio units, if you've fitted a satnav unit in place of the orginal radio you've lost the power feed to the antenna ..it's on one of the other cable plugs.

You need to find an ignition 12v to power the antenna 👍🏻 What's odd is that you have no reception what so ever ....may need to check aerial and cable from end to end .

I had a problem about 4 weeks ago when my aftermarket Sony radio stopped receiving anything but a strong local station ( everything else was just static )  After much checking I decided the amplified  aerial base on the roof must be faulty. I tried my local Mr T dealer and laughed hysterically all the way out of the parts department - £249.83 inc. Vat for just the base - you must be flipping joking !!

After much searching I managed to get a good working s/h one for £35 posted from JB Specialist Automotive in Coventry, which solved my problem and all my saved stations are now back again. I can honestly say that James the owner who I spoke to seemed a really decent chap who knew his Rav's and was very enthusiastic about them, I believe he sells and breaks s/h ones and may be a useful contact for others on here.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post his contact details ( mods please feel free to delete this info if I'm not allowed to )

He's on 02476 33 33 60  or www.jbspecialistautomotive.co.uk

I just bought the car and this was the problem from the start, I did not have time to ask a lot of questions about radio. I need someone to look at connectors I am too stupid and lazy to learn about them. But how can i supply my antena with 12 V ignition, do I have to plug another cabble to antena or how?

I have a RadioFM emulator with a stick, I think that he has a very strong signal, but my radio cannot receive it either, so I think is not about bad signal receiver.

Sounds like you need an auto  electrician .....better to be safe than sorry 😉

If you've had the radio out to take a photo of the connections I wonder if you noticed a blue wire attached to the black aerial cable ?
