bh696.. can you type a quick tutorial for taking off the standard nose?

Did u have any probs getting the border to line up?

Looks sweet!

to take off the standard nose i found it best to start on the lowest fixings and work your way up its mainly straight forward.

The problem areas were for me were!

The plastic fittings under the middle spoiler look like you pull the middle's out but it is beter to unscrew them

The side strips are bolted on and a bit fiddely to take off.

The corner bolts (where the bumper meets the wing)has two bolts either side and are v hard to get at you will need to pop out the lights to get your hands in

The border fitted v well but may need a bit of "blocking" to get it nice and flat you need to carve out the holes for the clips on the indicators to go through.

well i think thats all you need to know

good luck  :group-cuddles:

Cheers for the hints on fitting... my front is still in my front room!

Looks sweet chap but have you got skirts to go with it?

I'm thinking I'll have to buy diamond clears coz the stock lights look pants with that nose!!

If this is how low it is on a stock MR2 with 14's, how low is it gonna be with a 40-60mm drop on 17's?

How did you fit the series of bolts across the top end of the bumper, just under the tip of the bonnet?.. there must be at least 6-8 holes on the original nose... how did you get ur hand round to fit the nuts?

I am looking into side skirts diamond cut indicators and wheels at the mo.

The top bolts are difficult especially the ones by the rad i did them by taping the washer and nut into a ring spanner with masking tape  , putting my hand up to the bolt and getting the missus to turn the socket the other end (still is not easy I kept taping the nut too well and not being able to break the spanner away from it lol

That IS incredably low...

l8r rev cars are about an inch lower stock, then some people have 'em lowered further, mine's gonna be breaking a lot when i get round to having it put on

aw crap...

my car is lowered and I kill the bomex bumper now and again as it is. I can't even get up the hill to my mums car park without killing it... geeze !!

Having the border bumper is gonna be fun !!

I have the car booked in on the 5th to a VERY GOOD bodyshop. They said if it doesn't fit properly they'll get it to fit. I've seen a few cars that this bodyshop has done and I'm happy with the work.

So.. on the 7th July or so people won't be hearing my exhaust, they'll be hearing my bumper scraping about.. lol.

Nice one Bibbs on the C&P.

Very good fit. The lines look pretty spot on down the front edge of the bonnet. Impressive.

Now... where are you lot gonna stick the number plate?!
