i've brought an ornament

hi i've just brought a 2005 previa t spirit d4d as a non runner apparently the turbo went on it and the previous owners had a new turbo fitted and looking at it ,it does look new. on their way back the vehicle just cut out and has not started since  i have not yet had a diagnostic done  just putting this on here in case any one has any ideas what could be the possible cause cheers folks

Impossible to tell over the net but sounds very similar to a friend's problem with their diesel previa, turned out injectors were at fault

thank you marty  had a diagnostic done no faults found going to change the fuel filter as soon as the shops open give that a try start at basics
