Driving automatic car - tips?

Brake lights have always been brighter than the tail lights, and so they should.

One of our friends has had different Prii for years and they never ever use the foot operated parking brake.  They just turn it off (so it goes into P automatically).

With regards to the hybrid Yaris and what happens if you turn it off while the gear stick is not in P.  I can try it later.

Our Yaris will not turn off completely and you get an annoying beep.
