Hey Guys

On high speed I have a noise coming from the back left panels within the car. Something like a clip is moving.

Hard to tell as I cannot drive and check at the same time :-)

I would like to be able to remove the 2 panels shown bellow to check if something has shifted

Any tutorial available?

Thanks in advance

Hi Rami and welcome

Before you remove panels...

Is it the rear seatbelt buckle rattling against the panel? I had this issue.

I've now wedged each of the rear seatbelt buckles into the slot just below the quarter light window from where the belt is dispensed

Like Dash said above. Plus the passenger side seat belt can rattle between the seat and door trim.

Hey guys

THank for the info.

That the first thing I checked and the buckle is wihtin the slot made for that to avoid the noise.

So the probleme really seems to be coming from the back of the panels

Thanks

I had the same problem and it was the plastic cover/peace in the interior mudguard. Sometimes it works with panel clip!!!

So no long term solution just clip the panel within the mudgard?

In my case i feel the problem is really behind the panel within the car

While I'm logged in thought I'd mention about my wife's iQ3. It too had noise problems and went in some six times or more to be looked at. In fact, even though the warranty has long expired on the car the ticket is still "open" because it was reported under warranty and was never really fixed to our satisfaction. About two years ago we had it in another look. This time, they apparently removed all the interior panels around the boot area and added some foam-like padding betwixt panel and body. Since then, the old girl has been much quieter and doesn't rattle anywhere near as bad; the car's been much quieter too.

I have just added dynamat to my IQ as too much road noise was coming through into the cabin. It has made a big difference.

Applied to inside of rear wheel arches (factory rubber sound insulation had become unstuck) and around the 'spare wheel-type well' where tools and jack fit. Also applied to front footwells.

I'm curious as I'd like to do the same...

Did you ever manage it?

I've looked at Toyota documentation, but it's not entirely clear where to start...

The manuals can be a bit cryptic, and not where you logically think items will be listed

Vehicle interior - seat belt - REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 👍
