04 Celica With 18"s ?

Hi, my mate has an 04 celica and is looking to put 18" alloys on it. The ones he is looking at are the correct offset etc etc but he is worried about them scrubbing and losing full lock. Has anyone one here got 18"s on a new style celica? does it scrub with passengers etc?

I believe you can run 18" without them rubbing as ive even seen a few lowered celicas (7 gen) running 18" but if you lower it 30mm and fit 17"s it will still look sweet, thats what it did. its alot cheaper aswell for 17"s over 18"s.

i have 18"s on my gt4 and it's lowered 40mm

but it's a 1990 so not much help
