Vibration at 2000rpm - again and again

Bang on Moo, as you say if your going to spend unending hours pulling the gearbox then only fit a disc, you can bet your boots the trouble was coming from the cover or release bearing. Do it all again ? NAAAA.

Yes, this was the price I was quoted by Toyota Knaresborough in October '21 but 'haggled' it down a bit to £720.

They are a really good garage and I can't say that of any other over a lifetime os dealing with dealerships!

Hi Chris, the way things have gone with the UK economy and all the other associated price hikes I suppose the cost today will be £1000 if not more.

Good job you were able in 2021 to go ahead with the work, you probably saved a good bit.

Doesn't seem that any one has came back with a definitive answer to the question about the vibration at 2000 rpm 🤷‍♂️, I've just bought a 2011 IQ and it has this vibration, and what I've noticed is that the gear shift tells you to go into a higher gear when the vibration starts, and this is up hill, so if anything I would want to come down a gear not got up into a higher one, not up hill, as its already struggling. I've also felt a very slight vibration on the gear leaver (if you hold it constantly whilst changing, at the point you would normally put your hand back on the wheel) but not all the time and same again on the clutch pedal. Any one got a clue 🤔

Forget what I've just posted an hour ago I had only read the 1st page (newbie) didn't realise there were another 9 pages. So it is defo the clutch 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I generally ignore the gear shift 'green arrow'. 

It seems of no great use!

Yes, nine pages. There's been a lot of chat about this.

Certainly was the clutch in my case. I had the Toyota garage do mine because I've delt with them with previous cars and they are remarkably good. However, there are companies the specialise in clutches. Unfortunately, replacing the clutch on an IQ is very labour intensive.

I agree. It does seem often to suggest to move to a higher gear when that may offer marginally lower fuel consumption, but the engine would sound to be in 'unhappy' too low revs.
