Hi,

Is there a way to disable the passenger side airbag in a 2012 Prius Hatchback? I have searched the forums and google but can't find an answer. I want to do it to put my 2nd baby in the front seat as we cannot fit her and my first baby in the back as well.

There's a switch on the passenger side edge of the dashboard - if you open the door you'll see it. It's in the owner's manual, "Airbag manual on-off system (for Europe)".

So do you need to update your profile to include the Prius.

No, it's my father's car. We would be borrowing it for this particular trip.

Prius 2008 does not have nothing in either top/bottom glove box or on the side. There is however a sign that says that you shouldn’t put a rear facing child seat in the front passenger seat. This placard is visible when you open the front passenger door and on the passenger shade maker.
