Replacement gear knob

Hi all, just bought a MK2 (2006) Yaris and was hoping to replace the old manky gear knob.

Can find loads on Amazon / eBay but they're all for 2005 and earlier cars.

Anyone better at googling than me? Not bothered about it being genuine.

Been looking myself for a while, you will have to buy a universal one it seems. Unfortunately when I read reviews on one I liked, some claimed they still didn't fit however they probably didn't know how to but for now I've given up as it's further down my 'upgrade list'.

You'd also want to purchase a leather gaitor to replace the horrible rubber standard cover but on my experience, very difficult to attach and mine seemed too short even though it was for a mk2 Yaris. Fortunately it slipped over the handbrake instead so money not completely wasted.

Word of advice, only found one seller last time I checked on the popular auction site, but order one with the clip attached. You could probably sell the rubber cover plus clip to claw some money back

The gear knob itself looks identical to one I ordered for my 2004 Corolla, so I bit the bullet and ordered the same again - even though they don't specify my Yaris's year as compatible.

I'll let you know whether I wasted my money or not in a few days!

Fits fine. It's chrome, not Matt silver like the dashboard, but still looks a lot better than the faded, worn, old one.

Excellent. There are an exact match to the original gear knob on my Yaris, seen plenty of these on eBay and since my leather is fine, I may just buy the chrome piece to replace the faded one on mine.

Just be aware in the winter it will be ice to the touch and hot in the summer
