Hello ,

Hello I just bought on eBay the 7 inch touchscreen tablet to replace the base car radio, however no beam and no microphone, so can tell me on which pins plug the microphone, there are 2, and I think it's on the 28 pin connector on the back of the tablet. thank you

Hello,

Have you managed to connect the microphone to the head unit.

I've just bought one and I have no idea how to add a microphone for the car kit system to work properly.

Regards,

Hi, did you ever figure this one out? I bought one of these and am looking for a compatible microphone

This is what I've found so far. It appears that the microphone is in the maplight. You can get the mic and the light fascia, but the cable is very short. It needs an extension that runs to the unit. I've taken pictures pointing to the unused ports on the head unit, so it's one of those two. I think it may be the 8 pin one as the other looks like it could be for the rear Speakers

The black and blue cable is the type of thing we are looking for, this one is similar but not compatible.

If I knew which pins it was I could possibly make and adaptor so any microphone would fit. But manuals for Toyota and the pioneer units are so hard to find.

The head unit I have is avh-7148zc

Hello,

I managed to resolve this issue.

The red wire is on pin 4 and the green wire is on pin 18. It works!

Cheers!

Followed advice on how to wire the microphone. It didn't work with a Halfords or Amazon car microphone that I got. But it has worked with second hand Toyota Aygo microphone purchased from eBay.

Thanks for the advice
