hot engine runs poorly

I have a '87 Toyota MR2 engine in my Lotus Europa.  Seem to be having one wee problem with the engine that I haven't been able to figure out.  When I start up cold it runs fine but when I shut the car off for more than 15 minutes it runs poorly, the fuel ratio goes very rich (I have an air/fuel mixture gauge).  I thought when I changed out the ECU to a Megasquirt MAP unit it would solve this problem, but it didn't.  Still the same as the old stock ECU.  Has anyone else had this problem and what was the cure.  When I park the car for a few hours and the engine goes cold it starts up and runs fine.
