Rav4 central locking problems

Hi there,

I just recently got a 2004 rav4. I have the valet key only. It locks and unlocks the driver side only also starting the car. The other doors don't open or close. When I press the lock/unlock button it doesn't work either. I checked all fuses including dome fuse no luck. Any help please?

I have read about a similar problem, where the car was supposedly "stuck" in valet mode.  The thread did not provide a solution, unfortunately.

 

If you want to try with a remote key, this thread will give you my least-cost method.
