Decided to have my spark plugs changed at the 5 year point, mainly due to the fact I had no idea whether they were standard plugs, or long life ones. Even if they were long life ones, I really didn't want the plugs sitting in the cylinder head for too many years, just in case they seize in there.

Therefore, I asked the Toyota dealer if they would pop the old ones in a box for me.

Happy to say that the factory fit ones are indeed the long life Iridium type, and apart from a bit of soot, they were in excellent condition at 32,000 miles. Picture's not great, but appear to have very little wear on them.

You can get a service kit from Toyota which inludes free 5 litre oil (5W30), although there is a 'surcharge' for 0W20.
