Has anyone fitted LED bulbs into the headlights?

I have a 2007 D4D 2.2 litre diesel.  I've previously replaced dead bulbs with halogen replacements but am thinking of putting in LED bulbs.

It looks like the waterproof cap won't fit back on with the LED bulb in place due to space constraints. 

any advice gratefully received....

I've had them in the t27 headlights and they do just fit but in my opinion they aren't as bright as standard halogen regardless of what the packaging says and they are quite loud due to the fans to keep them cool.
