My Toyota rav4 2.2 d cat 2011 seems to be losing economy. Started out at approx 31-32 avg mpg and after a year its around 27mpg most days. Is there a problem?

Cold weather plays havoc I find.

The engine management system increases the tick over rate until the engine warms up or it’s 10 degrees outside.
