2007 Avensis 20 D4D - Coolant change

Hi All

Recently, the oil cooler started leaking and started leaking oil into the radiator. Got that fixed, but now after 6 months running good, I need to change the coolant as it is still a bit dirt with some oil. I have monitored it to be sure it is not leaking again and can say that its not.

I need to drain the radiator, but cannot find from where. does anyone have a picture of what i need to unscrew so the current coolant is drained?

Many thanks

Jerome

On the petrol the plug is at the bottom of radiator towards passenger side.

Hi there, this picture was taken from my 2007 2.0 d4d so should be the same on your car. There is a plastic nut on the radiator that needs to be undone to drain, I used a 12mm socket.

Thanks a lot Kennycab, that made the trick. I was looking at a completely different location.

Does it require any special method to fill it up again? to make sure that the heater matrix is filled as well?

many thanks

Jerome
