1995 Carina E (limp mode?)

Just had to change exhaust clamp (previous had rotted to nothing!). Since replacing it Carina seems to be stuck in sort of a 'limp mode'. Won't get past 2.5k revs, but it feels like the engine is being restricted like a limiter on a motorbike. I'm wondering if it's possible I've knocked/damaged a sensor on the cat when jiggling the exhaust into position? I'm going to do my best to figure it out armed with a Haynes manual and a complete lack of knowledge and ability, but was hoping one of you guys might have a bit of a clue?

Which clamp? The front is bolted to the ex manifold - flexi - cat - then a flange to rear/over axle?

Pictures possible?

Any dash lights - EML ??

No EML.

Rearclamp where back box and pipe connects onto front exhaust.

On mobile so pic difficult at moment.

OK.... If the 'front/cat/Oxy sensors' hasn't been off then the wiring and such should be undisturbed...

Cannot suggest why a clamp would cause the engine to croak?

Garages open today, after the break  .... Perhaps a 2nd opinion?

My thinking was maybe it's knocked/damaged  something while it was being waggled into position? Maybe?

Yeah, gonna limp it off down to a garage shortly!
