High pitch noise coming from engine

I have had my Auri 1.8 hybrid 18 months now, it’s a 2015 model.  Only just started getting a high pitch noise. Checked brakes and it’s not that.  I travel with my dog a lot and since the noise started she won’t get in the car. Anyone know what it could be?

The main source of high pitched noise is regen. Some people complain about it, some don't, some can hear it well, some at all. But it's strange that you would have not heard it earlier, so perhaps something is wrong with the car? Have Toyota check it for you would be my suggestion.
